Educational project for schools.
With this project we want to educate the young people of Curaçao, and remove misinformation about HIV and the stigma that is imposed on people infected with this virus.
Goal.
The aim of this project is to provide information about HIV & AIDS stigma. We want to educate the people of Curaçao about this topic and because we know that the pillar of education starts from school, we want to promote educational conversations in schools. By doing fun campaigns, we can attract the attention of more people. We have not been able to evolve because there is still a lack of interest and misinformation on the part of society. In this way we can create awareness about the virus and the people who suffer from it.
The aim of this project is to provide information in schools about the HIV & AIDS problem. We want to educate the youth about this subject, To combat stigma and discrimination.

Project plan.
HIV is a health problem that affects all of us, and it is a topic that should not be taboo, but there is a lack of information. News and advertisements about safe sex are not effective enough. The misconceptions continue. People don't have blood tests. They are afraid to seek medical help and do not understand that there is much they can do to prevent the progression from HIV to AIDS. By the time many are tested for the virus, it is often too late, as they are already experiencing the disease.
It is important to educate the youth, and we start with that in schools. We want to break taboos that society has regarding this disease and the people who suffer from it.
Volunteers will be trained to conduct information sessions in schools, and information materials will be developed.
